Rag & Bone’s autumn/winter 2012 collection, shown at New York Fashion Week yesterday, comprises a mish-mash of conflicting styles and prints, which are practical but uninspiring.
The collection lacks the brand’s regular modern edge, presenting predictable layering in the form striped capes over dark turtle necks and skinny leg trousers with chunky boots. The colour palette worked perfectly for the cold snowy winter we’re currently experiencing, but we would’ve welcomed a bit more of the modern, youthful feel we saw in their spring/summer collection.
