For those who don’t like the idea of getting up at the crack of dawn to get the best bargains, the Battersea Car Boot Sale opens in the afternoon so you can enjoy your Sunday lie-in before shopping. Items at this car boot tend to be higher end than most – it’s a good choice for those looking for second hand designer items and good quality vintage clothing.

2. Capital Car Boot Sale
This indoor and outdoor car boot sale is always busy and can be a real mixed bag depending on who turns up – professional traders are strictly banned so it’s all genuine second-hand goodies on offer. It’s very well organized and there are plenty of vintage and pre-loved designer bargains on offer.

3. Holloway Car Boot Sale
This is a free car boot sale with an eclectic collection of random items on offer. It’s not the best car boot for designer fashion but there’s plenty of second-hand clothing around and you can find some real vintage gems if you’re prepared to look for them.

4. Stoke Newington Car Boot Sale

A typical car boot sale with some good bargains and nice views. As you may have guessed from the staggered entry fees, the best items sell out quickly so it’s best to get here in the morning before all the good stuff is gone. On the other hand, sellers are advised to reduce their prices as the day goes on so if you’re after bargain-basement prices, you might want to turn up later.
