After four weeks of chasing Foursquare Check-ins and Tweets from the mysterious @CatchaChoo I was lucky enough to be invited to an exclusive finale event at the Sloane Street Store to celebrate the campaign that turned some fashionistas into tech geeks. The concept of ‘Catch a Choo’ was simple. Follow the tweets together with Foursquare check-ins and proceed as fast as heels will allow onto the crowded streets of central London to the location where the mysterious ‘Catch a Choo’ is located. If you’re not familiar with Foursquare it’s a Geo-location application available on most smart-phone platforms. The person fast enough to ‘catch’ the Choo won a pair of trainers from their new range. Having tried my best, I was overwhelmed to hear that the lucky winner gave her winning pair to one of her friends who is fighting cancer. Made me feel so much better not to have won, I’d simply have been selfish and basked in the glory! The event night was as gorgeous as it was glamorous with bellinis and gorgeously rich cupcakes from Bea’s of Bloomsbury served. I met the team behind the campaign and unsurprisingly the lady who played the ‘Catch a Choo’ role became very paranoid towards the end of the campaign (as one would expect when being followed around by 4,000 Choo-hungry women and men. I also had a chance to meet some fellow bloggers and tweeters in the flesh, and also stumbled across Jimmy Choo x Hunter Boots. Perfect footwear for Glastonbury!
