A morning packed full of style, food and technology.
Last weekend we were invited along with Last Style of Defense, Individualism, Monsieur Robot and BoyMeetsFashion to a Gentleman’s Day Out in London courtesy of Windows Mobile.
The day started with a much-needed breakfast at The Delaunay, the newly launched sister restaurant of celebrity favourite The Wolseley. As you’d expect from establishment run by legendary London restauranteurs’ Chris Corbin and Jeremy King it was a slick and sophisticated operation.

We opted for that great British classic – the bacon sandwich (with a touch of HP sauce of course), it did not disappoint. Once we’d eaten our sandwich and drank our tea (loose leaf Earl Grey if you’re asking) we got to grips with the latest smartphone to use the Windows Phone operating system – the Nokia Lumia 900. The brand new handset features an impressive 4.3 inch screen, 1.4 GHz Scorpian Processor and an 8MP camera with a Carl Zeiss lens.

With a contented stomach we hopped in an Addison Lee taxi and headed to our next stop – Prufock Cafe. Here, James Bailey, quite possibly the most knowledgeable barista we’ve ever met, gave us a 101 in drinking, making and choosing the perfect cup of coffee. After sipping and slurping our way around the world we finished with a delicious flat white. Top tip from James – avoid any coffee-house where the beans in the grinder look oily – it’s going to be a coffee catastrophe . Top tip from us – head to Prufock Cafe, you won’t be disappointed.
Buzzin from caffeine we hopped back into an Addison Lee taxi and swung over to Covent Garden for a much-needed hair cut at male grooming paradise Murdock. Expert barber Stephen Martin tamed my over grown barnet into a neat short crop – perfect for these muggy Summer months.
