In 1962, a photographer and a model went to New York, fell in love, changed the fashion world, and became legends. ‘We’ll Take Manhattan’ is a BBC Four one-off drama that captures this story of Jean Shrimpton and David Bailey and their life-changing week in Manhattan.

‘Doctor Who’s Karen Gillan stars as the renowned supermodel, alongside Aneurin Barnard playing the iconic fashion photographer, in the exploration of the explosive relationship the pair shared.

The drama focuses on their wild adventure in New York, their misbehaving, and how this spark would go onto define the spirit of the sixties. It will also portray how the pair first met, and how Bailey insisted on using Shrimpton for the British Vogue shoot, ultimately changing both their careers.
