London Fashion Week: Acne Autumn/Winter 2012

Stockholm creative Acne bought a little bit of Sweden to London Fashion Week yesterday with a collection that was clean, sporty and sharp.

You know it’s going to be a good show when Florence Welch, Vogue Italia editor Franca Sozzani and Vogue Paris editor Emanuelle Alt all take their seats on the front row, which in this case was in a dis-used sorting office in the heart of London. The walls were painted with a marble effect, echoing the formation of the town hall in Stockholm.

The clothes had that slick European feel, which is often recreated on the high street by brands like Uniqlo, marrying practicality and style. Big warm coats, chunky trainers and loose-fitting garments dominated the collection, along with a subtle range of colours to prevent it from becoming a brash sportswear nightmare. The burnt orange and deep reds will be just perfect for those breezy autumn days.
