Think Mary Katrantzou, think print. No one does bold patterns better, and as a designer she has a way of keeping us guessing excitedly at which direction she is going to take next. Her Spring/Summer 2013 direction was to exotic climates. Prints in lush green and royal blue’s included postage stamps, butterflies, exotic birds and complex patterns that we could study forever. Bold metallic brocade broke up the motifs seen on A-line dresses, halterneck tops and blazers, and provided a tailored alternative to the roomy looks that also made an appearance. Hair was slicked up into buns, not detracting from a collection that deserved so much of the rooms rapt attention.
