Karl Lagerfeld is to collaborate with Japanese beauty firm Shu Uemura.
The range will be labeled Karl Lagerfeld for Shu Uemura and will go on sale in November. Karl’s involvement in the collaboration includes colour selection, packaging and photographing the accompanying campaign.
Karl has been a long time fan of Shu Uemura products, but not for their intended purpose. The multitasking designer said he uses Shu Uemura make-up to hand colour his illustrations – most recently of The Queen. When asked why Unkle Karl said “Because other manufacturers do not offer such beautiful colours.”.
