Last night’s 84th Academy Awards offered a chic mix of gowns, from McQueen to Marchesa.
It may still be February, but the celebs braved the cold to show off some striking dresses on the red carpet at the Kodak Theatre in Los Angeles, posing for cameras and signing autographs before the ceremony began.
The big winners of the night were Meryl Streep, winning her third Oscar for her role in The Iron Lady, Octavia Spencer taking the Best Supporting Actress gong for The Help, and Christopher Plummer, awarded Best Supporting Actor for Beginners. But silent movie The Artist swept the floor with five Oscars, taking home the coveted Best Picture and Best Actor awards. A triumph to say the least!
