Selfridges – the yellow logoed department store that famously sits on London’s Oxford Street – has been named as the world’s best department store by the Intercontinental Group of Department Stores (IGDS) for a second time.
Beating off competition from the USA’s Macy’s and South Africa’s Woolworths (yes, really), Selfridges won the prestigious title, which is awarded every two years, and will retain the accolade until 2014.
