Tesco are introducing a ‘Scan, Watch, Shop’ scheme at their smaller London branches, using interactive window displays to enable customers to view products and buy them using a smartphone app.
The move comes after Tesco found many of their stores were too small to stock their F&F clothing range. Customers will be able to shop and buy via the window displays at their Covent Garden, Dean Street and Tooley Street Metro stores, using the Aurasma phone app. Shoppers will need to download the app and then hover their phone over one of the window displays images; they will then be able to watch the outfit in action and shop the look.
Details about compatibility and launch date are still unconfirmed, but this merge of fashion and technology is bound to excite London’s more tech savvy shoppers.
