Donatella Versace is a lady on a mission, returning her inherited fashion house’s couture collection to the line-up of Paris Couture Fashion Week this July.
After a small presentation last season, Atelier Versace is back for another and will be presented at The Ritz Paris across two shows on the evening of July 1st. Donatella’s brother and founder of the Italian fashion house, Gianni Versace, hosted numerous Atelier Versace shows at The Ritz up until 1997 when he was shot on the steps of his Miami mansion.
Donatella stepped into the role as head of design and continued to show Versace’s couture collections until 2000, then once again in January 2004. Whether the return of Atelier Versace to the runway is permanent is yet to be announced, especially since The Ritz Paris is set to be shut down and complete refurbished on July 31st.
