abercrombie kids, part of Abercrombie & Fitch Co., is opening its first flagship store in the UK at Number 3 Savile Row this Saturday August 30th at 10am.
Built in 1733, 3 Savile Row is famous for being the home to the Beatles’ Apple Records headquarters and is where the band recorded their iconic album Let It Be. Not only that but the Beatles also performed out on the rooftop at the address.
The abercrombie kids store is just a stone’s throw from the Abercrombie & Fitch flagship branch, and will have three levels of clothing and accessories for boys and girls, in addition to iconic memorabilia relating to Apple Records and The Beatles. Glass cases at its entrance will showcase photos, books, records and a guitar signed by Sir Paul McCartney.
In collaboration with English Heritage, all levels have been carefully renovated, with particular attention paid to the ground and main floor areas. They were restored to their original historic architecture with wood paneling, ceiling detailing and paint finishes.
“The Beatles are music legends and we’re fortunate to be able to open our first kids flagship in the UK in this location,” said Mike Jeffries, Chief Executive Officer of Abercrombie & Fitch. “We’re proud to offer our customers a unique shopping experience that pays respect to Apple Records and one of the most iconic bands of all time.”
