After a 2 year hiatus, Adidas is bringing back its iconic Stan Smith trainer.
Originally worn on the tennis court in 1971 by pro Stan Smith, the simple white leather silhouette moved swiftly onto the street and into wardrobes the world over. With an official name change to ‘Stan Smiths’ the shoe was officially born in 1972, steadily growing a cult following (the style is now synonymous with ‘90s fashion). The style has now been accredited as the ‘Best Selling Shoe of All Time.’
Staying true to the original retro design with updated details for 2014, expect the classic perforated Three Stripes and an appearance from the man himself on the tongue of the shoe in a trio of colours.
The shoe relaunches worldwide tomorrow (15th January).
