Beyoncé to launch athletic streetwear brand with Topshop

The global megastar and UK high street giant today announced a new joint clothing venture. The – as yet – unnamed brand is set to launch later on this year, and will produce sports-based clothing, footwear and accessories that promise to be both fashion-forward and performance-focused.

Topshop owner Sir Philip Green has been keen to state that this is a 50-50 partnership rather than just a collaboration, while Beyoncé has said that “working with Topshop’s development team to create and produce a technical and fashion-led collection is exciting and I’m looking forward to participating in all aspects of this partnership.” So watch this space: it’s safe to say that activewear’s about to get a very fashionable overhaul.
