Farfetch has partnered with Dot COMME, an archive site for Comme des Garçons, to offer a collection of men’s and women’s pieces from the ‘80s and beyond.
The founder of Dot COMME, Octavius La Rosa, has curated an extensive collection of Comme des Garçons fashion dating as far back as 1975. Pieces have been sourced from all over the world and feature the signature avant-garde abstract designs, textures, prints and androgynous shapes that the label is famous for.
Selected pieces available from the Farfetch collection include an outsized draped black dress from 1984, a top and skirt set from the famous 1997 ‘Lumps and Bumps’ collection, a fringed tartan jacket and mini skirt set from 2000, and a black and white loop detail mini dress from 2014.
Pieces from the latest spring summer 2017 collection are also available including a black layered shirt, draped wide leg cropped trousers, and a deconstructed tulle jacket.
La Rosa said about the partnership: “I’m so glad that those who aren’t so familiar with the history of Comme des Garçons are going to get a chance to better understand this incredible design house and see the influence they’ve had in so many aspects of design today.”
Pieces are available to buy on farfetch.com now and prices range from a £63 logo print purse to £6,094 for a poncho and skirt set.
