The Elle Style Awards 2014 were held last night, and as was to be expected, gorgeous creations by London Fashion Week’s best and brightest were out in force.
Model of the Year award-winner Suki Waterhouse wore Burberry and fellow beauty Jourdan Dunn donned a Tom Ford mini dress that had been on the catwalk just days before. Kate Perry picked up her Woman of the Year Award in Vivienne Westwood and Poppy Delevingne accompanied Emilia Wickstead (who took home the Red Carpet Designer of the Year Award) in a yellow lace and crepe design also shown on the catwalk only days earlier.
Among the other stylish choices were actress Felicity Jones, currently picking up praise for her part in Ralph Fiennes film about Charles Dickens’ lover The Invisible Woman, wore a pink and black mini dress by Christopher Kane, while singer Lily Allen wore a black Roland Mouret gown.
Among the other award winners were Isabel Marant who scooped the Contemporary Designer of the Year gong, Christopher Kane who took home the prize for British Designer of the Year and photographer David Bailey who, fittingly given the recent opening of his National Portrait Gallery exhibition Stardust, was presented with the Lifetime Achievement Award.
