Egyptian luxury jeweller Azza Fahmy has opened her first UK retail store in Mayfair’s Burlington Arcade.

The new store forms part of the brand’s international expansion plans and its design is inspired by the Galleria 40 store in Cairo.

Managing director Fatma Ghaly said “www.azzafahmy.com has witnessed significant UK revenue. This market has become one of our important growth areas outside the MEA region. The store strengthens our existing retail presence in London and with the educational contribution London made to Azza Fahmy’s early career path further enhances our connection to the city.”

Azza Fahmy was awarded a scholarship to study jewellery craft at the City of London Polytechnic in the ‘70s. She opened her first retail store in Cairo in 1981, and her factory and design studio in 2002.

The brand has collaborated with a number of high-profile fashion designers including Julien Macdonald, Matthew Williamson and Preen by Thornton Bregazzi. It has also created a bespoke collection for the British Museum.

The New Azza Fahmy store is located at 27 Burlington Arcade, Mayfair, London W1J 0EA.
