British supermodels Kate Moss and Naomi Campbell have returned to their catwalk roots by taking to the runway at the Louis Vuitton show in Paris last night.
The show, based around themes of fetishism and objects of desire, saw Kate model skimpy shorts, lace-up knee high heels and a leather cut-out jacket, whilst smoking a cigarette. Naomi also appeared in a rubber corseted jacket, gold skirt and a fur chauffeur-style hat.
Marc Jacobs, the creative force behind the label, showed his autumn/winter 2011-12 collection in a glamorous french hotel, where guests were greeted by hostesses in playful maid’s outfits brandishing over-sized feather dusters, platters of caviar and vodka shots – all before 10am.
Marc explained his reasons behind the location by saying, “We were thinking about obsession, fetishism and we thought about an old hotel, with its chambermaids and the affairs that go on there, the crimes and scandals. And we just wanted to reveal all the amazing creatures who passed through there.”
