London Fashion Week autumn/winter 2012 kicks off today and is set to be bigger than ever, with more designers ditching Milan, New York and Paris for the big LDN than ever before!
Today plays host to shows from some of London’s most exciting designers, from PPQ to Bora Aksu, paving the way for brands over the next five days. The weekend holds more excitement, with Stella McCartney’s one-off show taking place on Saturday evening after the Duchess of Cambridge’s two favourite labels Issa London and Temperley london (we want to see Kate on the front row!). Sunday’s line-up includes Acne and Vivienne Westwood Red Label, followed by big name Monday, when Burberry, Erdem, Giles and McQ will all present their autumn/winter 2012 collections in one day. Tuesday is packed full of newer names, from Mary Katrantzou to Holly Fulton, who are bound to impress. Everything then comes to an end on Wednesday with the menswear shows – the last line-up before the gender gets its own weekend in June.
That’s a hell of a lot of fashion for one week – are you excited? We sure are! We’ll be keeping you update with show reports throughout the week, as well as tweeting from the front row, so be sure to follow us @LDNfashion for the freshest fashion updates.
