London’s National Theatre launches pop-up shop

London’s National Theatre celebrate its 50th birthday this year, and to celebrate has today opened a pop-up shop called Shopping and E*ting.

With an interior designed by Kit Grover, the Southbank store will stock an eclectic mix of product design and limited-edition prints specially commissioned from the UK’s contemporary design talent. If shoppers find themselves peckish on arrival, the pop-up’s offering of street food and drink, served out of the adjacent 1950s Citroen van, is sure to satisfy.

The Director of Commercial Operations at the National, Patrick Harrison said of the venture: “[it] unites two popular pastimes in a distinctive retail destination – its fun, theatrical and totally unique.”
