Following in the footsteps of documentaries celebrating style doyennes Diana Vreeland and Carine Roitfeld is a candid new film about the world’s best-known supermodel Kate Moss.
Due to be shown on French television channel Paris Premiere on Sunday, Looking For Kate is being released just ahead of the style icon’s 40th birthday next week. Though it is yet to be confirmed whether or not it will be aired on British television, we are certainly hoping that it does as viewers can expect leading industry names from designer Isabel Marant and photographer Peter Lindberg telling their own personal Moss anecdotes.
The Croydon-born beauty has dominated the pages of the world’s best magazines, brand campaigns and catwalks for 25 years, having been spotted at JFK airport in New York by Sarah Doukas in 1988. Clocking up numerous Vogue covers over the years, she recently joined the masthead there as contributing fashion editor (her first shoot is expected in a spring issue), and has also worked as a designer for her own collection at Topshop.
