London born designer Stella McCartney revealed her crisp summer resort party in her usual style on Monday, with a garden party in New York city.
The East Village’s 19th-century Marble Cemetery played host to McCartney’s fashion party, where models frolicked around playing fairground games in her new collection (accompanied by YouTube’s biggest diva P’Trique!).
A live band lifted the gloomy graveyard mood, reflecting the light and fresh feel of Stella’s collection for spring 2013, which was made up of mainly cornflower blue, off-white, coral and gleaming sunshine yellow, interjected with bold prints. Soft tailoring classics remained, from button up shirts to trouser suits and conservative pleated dresses.
“I wanted to inject the collection with optimism”, said McCartney. We think this colourful collection just that.
