John Lewis and fine china brand Wedgwood have teamed up to host a British tea experience to celebrate the Chelsea Flower Show later this month.

The Wedgwood Tea Conservatory will open at the Peter Jones department store in Chelsea, London for three weeks from 24 May to 16 June and guests are encouraged to book afternoon tea and sample exotic tea from Wedgwood’s Wonderlust tea collection.

The Tea Conservatory has been curated by expert tea sommelier Bernadine Tay and includes the full selection of Wonderlust tea including Blue Pagoda oolong blend, Camelia green tea & blossom tea, Oriental Jewel black sencha tea, and Yellow Tonquin herbal tea blend. The food menu is to include tempting treats such as lemon-infused shortbread, Earl Grey bouquet scones with strawberry petal jam, and pulled ham hock and floral chutney bloomer.

Part of Wedgwood’s new partnership with the Royal Horticultural Society, Tea Conservatories will also be located at RHS Chatsworth and Hatton House.

The decoration and tablewear in the conservatory is inspired by the tropical plants discovered and brought back to the UK during the Grand Tour of the 19th century.

John Lewis has partnered with over 100 other brands for its latest campaign on the theme of “National Treasures” to celebrate the great British summer.
