Piccadilly restaurant and caviar specialist, Caviar House & Prunier, has announced a limited edition menu to commemorate the coronation of King Charles II,
His Majesty’s Menu consists of three courses with a complimentary glass of fine Brut champagne to toast the new king.
Three succulent oysters served with a classic vinaigrette are served at the starter, followed by the Tsarina, which is a giant blini, lightly toasted and topped with BALIK salmon, crème fraiche, and 10g of His Majesty’s Fine Caviar. To finish the menu and cleanse the palette, guests are served the sweet and savoury Sorbet & Caviar, which combines a refreshing lemon sorbet with His Majesty’s Fine Caviar and an optional shot of vodka to pour over the top.
The menu is available for the entire month of May, priced at £99 per head. Bookings can be made online.
For those wishing to celebrate at home, a limited edition tin of Prunier caviar with a Union Jack design is also available. This coronation edition tin contains the Saint James Caviar, which was introduced in 1932 at the grand opening of Prunier Restaurant on St. James Street.
Kings, queens, and heads of state have all sampled the caviar, which is still produced using the same techniques as it was in the 1930s. Priced from £90 for 30g the limited edition His Majesty’s Fine Caviar is available online and in-store at Prunier restaurants and airport seafood bars.
