Burberry has revealed a “rejuvenated identity” under the direction of its newly appointed Chief Creative Officer, Daniel Lee.

Unveiled alongside a series of images and videos, shot by London based photographer and filmmaker Tyrone Lebon, is the archive inspired evolution of the brands logo and its Equestrian Knight Design, presented in both blue and white.

Known faces featured in the campaign (which was shot on location at various landmarks and monuments around the capital) include Skepta, Raheem Sterling, Vanessa Redgrave, John Glacier, Shygirl, and actor Jun Ji-Hyun.

In a press release launching its new era, the British luxury brand say: “The new Burberry logo is archive inspired. The original Equestrian Knight Design was the winning entry of a public competition to design a new logo, circa 1901. The design features the Latin word ‘Prorsum’ meaning ‘Forwards’.”

Speaking following the announcement of Lee’s appointment as Chief Creative Officer, Burberry’s CEO Jonathan Akeroyd said of the Bradford-born designer: “Daniel is an exceptional talent with a unique understanding of today’s luxury consumer and a strong record of commercial success, and his appointment reinforces the ambitions we have for Burberry. I am excited about working closely with him and I am confident he will have the impact we are aiming for in this next phase, supported by our talented and experienced teams.”
