After completing an e-commerce Masters Degree in the US, Eva Alexandrides moved to London with her husband, Dr Yannis Alexandrides and 2 sons. Eva spearheads the creative direction and new product development arm of 111SKIN. Regularly travelling the world to seek out new innovations and ingredients, she is pivotal in overseeing the engineering and development of all new products.
We caught up with her for the latest in our ‘My London’ series.
Favourite neighbourhood:
Chelsea – I love Chelsea Green where it has real sense of neighbourhood. My local grocer, Andreas, always has the best fresh fruit and produce and we also have a local fishmonger and butcher which gives the area a village feel.
Favourite place for brunch:
If the weather is warm it has to be Ivy Chelsea Garden – it has the most superb terrace. If it’s cold, then we like the Arts Club on Dover Street with family and friends.
Best coffee in London:
We buy the best quality beans in Harrods and make the most exquisite coffee at home in our Jura machine. Harrods was also the first store to support 111SKIN so we have a lot of loyalty towards them.
Favourite gallery or museum:
Saatchi gallery and Tate modern.
Tell us a secret:
Our new 111Skin C02 Cystallising Energy Mask has a similar effect to having an Oxygen Facial at home.
Favourite place to shop:
Harvey Nichols – it has a feel of a boutique but has a phenomenal selection of cool fashion and lifestyle brands. We also launched 111Cryo there, the first non-nitrogen, whole body cryo chamber in the UK, so I spend a lot of time there!
Favourite place to find inspiration:
Walking through Shoreditch where the ambience and people are so eclectic and then a visit to the most beautiful Greek Church in Battersea followed by a walk in the park.
Best London destination for a date:
Dinner at Sexy Fish and then late-night drinks in Isabelle.
Favourite park:
Definitely Battersea – having two boys aged 6 and 11 and a Jack Russell puppy it’s ideal for the whole family.
Favourite food market:
Duke of York Square – every Saturday.
Your sanctuary in the city:
As a busy working mum, my rooftop terrace on a warm night is one of my favourite places to get away from it all.
What inspires you?
My boys, travel to exotic and colourful destinations (Marrakesh being our latest trip) and leading a team of young and talented professionals.
