Fjällräven Reinvents Its Winter Icons for AW26

Swedish outdoor brand Fjällräven has unveiled its AW26 collection. The new range updates its iconic Expedition jackets while introducing technical outerwear, trekking equipment and everyday essentials.

As always, Fjällräven focuses on functional, hard-wearing clothing. This season, however, brings fresh designs alongside improved versatility, warmth and classic Scandinavian style.

From lightweight down jackets to mountain gear, here’s what’s new for AW26.

Expedition: A Winter Icon Reimagined

First designed by Fjällräven founder Åke Nordin in 1974, the Expedition Down Jacket remains one of the brand’s most recognisable pieces.

For AW26, Fjällräven expands the Expedition family with two new interpretations of its classic winter outerwear.

Expedition Black joins the permanent collection following a limited-edition launch. Inspired by Scandinavian winters, its all-black design offers a more understated take on the original jacket.

Meanwhile, Expedition Block introduces bold colour blocking to the Expedition Down Lite Jacket. Arriving later this season, it gives the familiar design a contemporary update.

Both editions retain the warmth and practical details that define the Expedition range. As a result, they combine Fjällräven’s outdoor heritage with a fresh look for AW26.

Technical Layers for Autumn Trekking

Fjällräven’s Keb collection also returns with versatile outerwear designed for unpredictable autumn conditions.

Key pieces include the Keb GTX Jacket, featuring a GORE-TEX ePE membrane for weather protection. The Keb Trousers and insulated Keb Padded Hoodie provide additional options for colder days.

Meanwhile, the Abisko Wool Hoodie offers a practical extra layer. The award-winning Kajka X-Lätt 45 backpack also provides a lightweight carrying solution for longer treks.

Together, these pieces create a versatile outdoor wardrobe. Whether hiking local trails or heading further afield, wearers can adapt their layers as conditions change.

Bergtagen: Built for the Mountains

Fjällräven has also expanded its technical Bergtagen collection. Developed alongside the Swedish Mountain Guide Association, the range is designed for demanding alpine conditions.

For AW26, two new down jackets lead the additions.

The Bergtagen Topp Down Jacket provides insulation for mountaineering and cold-weather expeditions. Meanwhile, the lighter Bergtagen Down Jacket offers a more compact, packable alternative.

In addition, the Bergtagen Midlayer Hoodie provides another layering option. The new Bergtagen Touring 22 backpack also expands the range for ski touring.

Each piece prioritises function, durability and practical performance in mountain environments.

Vardag: Everyday Scandinavian Style

Beyond the mountains, Fjällräven continues to develop its lifestyle collection with new additions to the Vardag range.

Drawing on the brand’s outdoor heritage, the collection combines functional materials with relaxed silhouettes. As a result, the pieces feel equally suited to city life and weekend escapes.

Highlights include the Vardag G-1000 Pile Jacket, Vardag Relaxed Trousers and women’s Räven Parka.

Meanwhile, classic Fjällräven fabrics and practical details maintain the brand’s familiar outdoor identity.

The result is a collection of understated essentials designed for everyday wear, whatever the weather.

Where to Buy Fjällräven AW26
