French fashion designer Inès de la Fressange has joined forces with French automobile brand DS Automobiles to produce a limited edition version of the brand’s popular DS3 model.
Inès de la Fressange started her fashion career as a model working for Haute-Couture fashion houses including Christian Lacroix, Jean-Paul Gaultier, and Christian Dior. She was also the first Brand Ambassador for Chanel. The label Inès de la Fressange Paris was launched in 1991.
The car will be launched as part of the spring/summer collection and includes a ‘Voyageur’ bag designed by Inès de la Fressange taking inspiration from the latest fashion trends with a distinctive Parisian-chic feel.
The limited edition DS3 is styled with an ink blue body and opal white roof. The distinctive Inès Red colour is used on the door mirror housings and wheel centres. The window pillars also have an airmail livery design in blue and white with red striped borders.
Granit Blue leather upholstery continues the colour theme in the interior of the car, with protective mats and headrest covers shaped in the same airmail design. The dashboard insert is coloured in Inès Red and a fawn, the badge of Inès de la Fressange, is printed on the dashboard.
Yves Bonnefont, Brand Director of DS Automobiles said: “We aim to offer bespoke models and cultivate rarity so that each customer finds in their DS vehicle a touch that resembles them. Our Limited Edition models enhance our range of exceptional products, so finding two identical models is quite the challenge!”
The car also offers the latest modern technologies such as DS LED Vision, satellite navigation, DAB digital radio, and Mirror Screen with Apple Car Play® and Mirror Link™. Lights and windscreen wipers are automatic and there is an auto-dimming electrochromatic rear view mirror.
Three engine/transmission choices are available including PureTech 110 S&S (Stop&Start) with manual gearbox or EAT6 (Efficient Automatic Transmission with 6-speeds) or BlueHDi Diesel 100 S&S manual.
Only 200 of the cars will be available in the UK from May and will be available in DS Stores and salons.
