From Marc to Raf? Dior Closing In on Raf Simons Deal

Is Raf Simons Dior’s next couturier? Today industry sources have said that the French fashion house is closing in on a contract with the celebrated Belgian menswear talent to replace disgraced designer John Galliano.

Many issues still need to be ironed out before Simons can take over the at the world’s most prestigious fashion house. His current contract at Jil Sander where he’s worked as creative director since 2005 has recently been extended. What’s more with the next Dior couture show scheduled to take place in Paris in January with a ready to wear collection due to March. Whoever takes over the reigns won’t have the time to produce those collections – so we imagine a debut in the summer at the earliest.
