There are so many things I love about London—the people, the accents, the Union Jack flag (I’m obsessed), the traditions, the royals and way too many things to mention.
London has so many interesting neighbourhoods that I love to explore. There is such history everywhere you look.

Best coffee in London:
I prefer green juices and ginger tea.
Favourite gallery or museum:
We like to walk from the Connaught Hotel to the Tate Modern through Green Park and St. James Park. If we have time, we often head over to the Millennium Bridge where my husband likes to check out the funny named office buildings such as The Gherkin, The Cheese Grater, The Walkie Talkie etc.
Favourite place to shop:
I love Grays Antiques Centre in Mayfair – it has the most amazing vintage Louis Vuitton trunks. When I’m in London, I always visit Liberty to browse their cool selection of scarves and interesting knickknacks.
I tend to wear a lot of jeans so I love Selfridge’s denim studio (skinny dark denim is my personal favourite).
I also love to check out my stores when I can, especially the new ones. I love stopping by Harrods and walking around the store, just waiting for the bagpipes to play.
Best London destination for a date:
Scott’s is a definite. I never miss an opportunity to go with my husband. I order the martini and Dover sole (without butter of course) and spinach. It’s the perfect, simple meal. I also like the bar at Soho House — the aesthetic is very cool and there are always interesting people milling around.
Favourite food market:
I love Detox Kitchen for fresh, healthy options that are perfect on the go. I often take it with me to eat on the plane when I am flying home. Harrods Food Hall is always great too—they always have new snacks I love to try.
Your sanctuary in the city:
My absolute favourite home-away-from-home is London’s Connaught Hotel – it’s quintessentially English and I get a butler! I especially love the ginger tea that they brew daily from thin-sliced ginger root. I always have a cup (or three) during the day and their chilled vodka martini (3 olives) after work. Plus I’ve run into so many friends and cool people there.
What inspires you?
My inspiration comes from a variety of places – from travelling to colourful fabrics to everyday women I see on the street and also out of sheer need. These inspirations find their way into new colour collections and new product ideas. For example, one year at Fashion Week a designer asked me to give all the models a lit-from-within glow. I took a shimmery eye shadow and dusted it on the models’ cheeks and that’s how the concept for Shimmer Brick was born.
This season I’m loving:
My new Retouching Pencils and Retouching Wands. When I started out as an aspiring makeup artist, I studied magazine covers to try and recreate the beauty looks. Later, I learned that all covers are retouched. But by then I knew how to make skin look naturally flawless using only makeup. Fast forward to 2016, I’m excited to add two new artistry-inspired tools to the lineup – Retouching Face Pencil and Retouching Wand. Retouching Face Pencils are my newest go-to for everything. Retouching Wand is a cover-up and foundation hybrid. The liquid foundation formula instantly evens out the complexion with invisible, weightless coverage. It’s like magic.
