British luxury and lifestyle brand Barbour has this month launched the first spring/summer edition of its premium sub-brand, Gold Standard.
Representing the pinnacle of the Barbour range, Gold Standard aims to showcases the brand’s illustrious heritage of over 127 years, through a collection of casual outerwear pieces inspired by the company’s iconic archive.
Available in five different styles and colours, each embodying its own military aesthetic, the spring/summer line includes lightweight wax styles, over-dyed for an authentic and washed look, which work alongside “ergonomic and engineered cuts”.
Premium pattern development and craftsmanship are integral to the range, and technical details to note include traditional bellows pockets, metal hardware and nickel zip detailing.
In a statement released accompanying the collection launch, Paul Wilkinson, Global Marketing and Commercial Director of Barbour said: “Our first Barbour Gold Standard spring/summer collection offers a range of sophisticated and practical outerwear designs that will be available in high-end retailers globally.”
“This luxury premium sub-brand represents the pinnacle of our men’s outerwear offering and showcases the very best in men’s casual jackets for the warmer months. Each jacket is filled with carefully designed details that really showcase our dedication to craftsmanship and we are looking forward to consumers discovering this exciting collection and all that it has to offer.”
