Condé Nast veteran Michiel Steur has been named as the new chief commercial officer for i-D magazine.
Steur, who confirmed the move in a post on Instagram, will remain in his current role as British Vogue’s vice president of brand revenue until October.
“Joining i-D as Chief Commercial Officer is a tremendous honour, especially at this pivotal time with the opportunity to lead and transform a dynamic and influential brand,” Michiel wrote.
“i-D has consistently been a platform for emerging talent in fashion and culture and this role will allow me to spearhead a new commercial strategy grounded in i-D’s legacy of celebrating creative communities, while embracing forward-thinking innovation.”
“In this new role, I will lead the commercial arm of i-D and set strategy across all existing and new platforms. I am excited about partnering with Karlie Kloss, Bedford Media, and the team at i-D during this transformative phase.”

His appointment at the publication comes at a time when the media outlet is experiencing “a rejuvenation of its strategy” following its takeover by supermodel and entrepreneur Karlie Kloss.
Steur will report directly to Nicole Muniz, chief executive officer of Bedford Media, and will work across both digital and print, as well as new platforms scheduled to launch later in the year.
In February, i-D Magazine announced it would be launching a newsletter whilst it paused all outlets in a bid to “reposition itself in the publishing world”.
