Ye (aka Kanye West), and Balenciaga Creative Director Demna Gvasalia have unveiled the first limited edition collection from their collaborative brand, Yeezy Gap Engineered by Balenciaga.
Pitched as “timeless silhouettes translated through the lens of Ye and Demna’s vision of utilitarian design”, and released to coincide with Ye’s Donda 2 experience performance in Miami, the 25-look line-up showcases the rapper’s “creative endeavours” with Gap, merging his signature oversized silhouette and penchant for face coverings with Demna’s sharp shoulders and couture-style shapes.
Highlights include a denim jacket, medium-wash jeans and a range of logo T-shirts and hoodies that pay tribute to Gap’s timeless American aesthetic. Everything has an off-grey finish and an abstract dove motif which represents an “unnamed hope for the future”.

The first eight looks are available for order on Yeezygap.com and Farfetch now, with the full collection scheduled to drop later in the year.
