What do Karl Lagerfeld’s profile and the Union Jack have in common? Not a lot, you might think, but both are emblazoned across the designer’s new capsule London collection. Inspired by the capital’s “rock-chic aesthetic,” the line-up includes accessories and ready-to-wear, and also takes its cue from military garms.
Our favourite pieces are the iPhone case and Union Jack-studded fingerless gloves – a style signature of Monsieur Lagerfeld himself.
Wondering what this is all in aid of? It’s not that Karl is fleeing France for tax purposes, it’s in anticipation of the designer opening an eponymous store on Regent Street next Thursday, March 13th which is reported to be a flagship.
