Pirelli has announced that its 2027 Calendar will focus on India. It also marks a first for the Cal™, introducing a dual-photographer format.
The edition brings together Norwegian photographer Sølve Sundsbø and Indian photojournalist Raghu Rai. Rai, one of India’s most influential visual storytellers, passed away recently. In the months before, he worked on a series shaped by his lifelong exploration of identity, culture, and people.
Pirelli is completing his work in collaboration with the Rai family. His daughter, Avani Rai, will lead the project. She will carry forward her father’s vision with a personal and considered approach.

Alongside this, Sundsbø returns after shooting the 2026 Calendar. He brings his refined, experimental aesthetic to the project. His work will sit in dialogue with Rai’s, offering a layered and contemporary portrait of India.
The 2027 Calendar is set to be one of Pirelli’s most considered editions to date. It centres on legacy, collaboration, and storytelling.
