John Lewis have a knack for creating tear jerking Christmas adverts, and every year their campaigns seem to pull on the heart strings of even the biggest scrooges amongst us. Last year we were told the story of a young boy who was counting down the days u Christmas, complete with an adorable twist at the end, and the year before Ellie Goulding provided the soundtrack which warmed our hearts. The John Lewis Christmas 2012 advert has officially been released exclusively via social media and true to form sets out to win our hearts. This year we watch the journey of a snowman, desperate to buy his snow…lady (?) the perfect Christmas present- a hat, gloves and scarf. His epic journey sees him tackle streams, climb mountains and hide from snowball fights in the street all to find the perfect present. Set to the sounds of Gabrielle Alpin singing a rendition of The Power Of Love by Frankie Goes To Hollywood, we see the Snowman suceed in bringing his present back to a snow-covered garden with the simple line ‘Give a little more this Christmas’.
