Award winning K-pop band BTS have been unveiled as the new ambassadors for French fashion house, Louis Vuitton.
Following in the footsteps of fellow brand ambassadors Alicia Vikander, Emma Stone and Naomi Osaka, the group (made up of Jungkook, J-Hope, V, RM, Jin, Suga and Jimin) will team up with the team at LV on a number of “special projects” and are expected to be outfitted in LV in upcoming performances and appearances.
In a press release announcing the band’s ambassador role, Louis Vuitton called BTS “one of the most renowned and influential groups in the world”, before adding added that the supergroup’s “ubiquitous popularity resonates worldwide and Louis Vuitton is very happy to share news of their new role within the House”.
In his own statement, Virgil Abloh, Men’s Artistic Director at Louis Vuitton, said: “I am looking forward to this wonderful partnership which adds a modern chapter to the House, merging luxury and contemporary culture. I can’t wait to share all the very exciting projects we are working on…”
