Mother’s Day takes place in the U.K. this Sunday (March 22nd), allowing us all the opportunity to celebrate our Mums, and show appreciation to those in our lives who have helped raise us.
However, coming up with new and unique ways to say ’thank you’ to your special someone year upon year can be quite tricky, and while a handed written card, a beautiful bouquet of flowers or a deliciously decadent box of chocolates may have been your go to Mother’s Day gift of choice in the past, why not think outside of the box, and do something a little different for, and with, your loved ones this year?
As always, there is so much to do and see in this great city of ours, as establishments and organisations all over town pull out all of the stops to make Mothering Sunday 2020 even more special than ever!
Check out our guide of 5 things to do in London this Mothers Day.
It is often said that no other city in the world provides a more resplendent fine dining, afternoon tea experience than the great metropolis of London.
With the option of quite literally 100’s of venues across the capital to chose from – from quaint traditional tearooms like The English Rose and Candella to 5-star luxury hotels The Ritz and Claridge’s, fashion house cafes like Thomas’s by Burberry and Marchesi 1824 by Prada to restaurants and eateries located high in the sky – you will be sure to find an appropriate venue to suit your tastes, and treat your loving Mother to a spot of tea and cake this coming weekend.

This Mothers Day week, Crofton Park Pictures will screen a selection of ‘Cult Classics’ on Thursday March 19th and Friday March 20th – doors open at 8pm with the films beginning at 8:30pm sharp. Cinema sweet and savoury snacks including hot dogs, popcorn and ice cream will all be on sale.
