Some more crazy news from the weird yet wonderful family, the Jacksons.
In memory of the late pop superstar, Michael Jackson, a French perfume company are releasing male and female fragrances inspired by plants that once grew at his Neverland Ranch.
Men’s scent, ‘Jackson’s Tribute’, and women’s scent, ‘Jackson’s Legend’ will both be formally launched on March 7th in the United States. Suprisingly the eau de parfums were given the go ahead by Michael’s estranged father Joe Jackson.
The manufacturer of own-brand and private-label fragrances, Julian Rouas Paris, is said to have formulated the scents in just a fortnight, under a partnership deal signed in California last month with Joe. Half of all the proceeds from the fragrances will go to charities favoured by Michael.
Like most, we’re slightly disturbed, yet curious to see what they’ll look/smell like.
Michael was set to release his own fragrance in 1989, but it was quickly scrapped as the famous media scandal broke days before the launch. Who knows, maybe they’ll have better luck this time.
Julian Rouas or Franck Rouas as he is known in France is being sued by Bravado International for illegally using Michael Jackson’ s name and image in its upcoming line of cheap perfume imitation.
