Luxury handbag brand LIAVELLA has launched with a collection designed to make everyday carrying simpler. The new label focuses on versatility, combining multiple bag styles into one design.
Founder Lia McBride created the brand after struggling with chronic back pain caused by carrying several heavy bags each day. Specialists advised her to use a backpack for better weight distribution. However, she found most options felt too sporty or overly practical for work and social settings.
As a result, McBride decided to create her own solution.
Designed in Scotland and developed in New York, LIAVELLA spent three years developing the collection. The brand also gathered feedback from more than 100 women during the process.
The launch collection includes two core styles: The AVAIA and The AVAIA Petit.
The AVAIA

The AVAIA adapts to different parts of the day with a multi-anchor strap system that creates 12 ways to wear the bag. Owners can carry it as a backpack, shoulder bag, crossbody or handheld style.
The design includes padded laptop and tablet compartments, internal storage sections, a luggage pass-through and a full zip closure. Therefore, the bag targets commuters, travellers and busy professionals looking for one versatile option.
The AVAIA Petit

Meanwhile, The AVAIA Petit offers a smaller and more compact design. The bag transforms into more than 15 different styles, including a hip bag, mini backpack, wristlet and crossbody bag.
Its slimmer shape and refined leather finish make it suitable for both daytime and evening wear.
A Focus On Functionality
Both bags feature LIAVELLA’s signature hardware system.
The Multi Anchor Ring System allows users to switch between different strap positions and carrying styles quickly.
Meanwhile, the Pillar of Strength Clip secures accessories such as sunglasses or hats. The detail takes inspiration from Roman columns and acts as a signature design feature across the collection.
Designed To Replace Multiple Bags
LIAVELLA positions the collection as an investment for women who want fewer, more versatile accessories. The bags aim to reduce clutter while supporting modern capsule wardrobes and frequent travel.
Speaking about the launch, founder Lia McBride said:
“I created LIAVELLA for women who do it all and want one beautifully designed bag that can adapt to every role they play.
“After being advised by specialists to use a backpack for my back health, I realised there was nothing on the market that worked for both my body and my lifestyle.”

The collection comes in Noir and Crème Caramel colourways.
