London Fashion Week: Bora Aksu Autumn/Winter 2012

Bora Aksu stuck to his romantic guns for autumn/winter 2012, working with colour and intricate patterns to create newness.

His usual mixture of soft girliness combined with intense masculinity normally produces a darker, edgier collection, but this time around there’s a definitely lean to the ladylike side. Featuring pale pinks, faded greys and intense oranges, the collection had a less androdgynous feel, demonstrated through the use of feminine brocade patterns and soft draping.

Were any of the designs revolutionary? No. But they were a big and welcome step in a different direction for Bora.
