Jeremy Scott is to leave his role as Creative Director of Moschino after 10 years.
In a statement obtained by WWD, executive chairman of the brands parent company Aeffe, Massimo Ferretti confirmed the news saying: “I am fortunate to have had the opportunity of working with the creative force that is Jeremy Scott. I would like to thank him for his ten years of commitment to Franco Moschino’s legacy House and for ushering in a distinct and joyful vision that will forever be a part of Moschino history.”
Famous for his playful approach to design, and “kitsch, fantastical” creations that blended both fashion and humour, the Kansas City native was once christened “pop culture’s most irreverent designer” and “fashion’s last rebel” by The New York Times, who applauded Scott and his ability to produce groundbreaking, theatrical runway shows and presentations that pushed the boundaries of art, social commentary, and consumerism. Madonna, Miley Cyrus, Rita Ora and Zendaya are just some of celebrities who have worn his creations.
Most recently, the creator showed Moschino’s AW23 collection at Milan Fashion Week, offering up “a punk-inspired collection that drew inspiration from surrealist artist Salvador Dalí“.

I would like to thank Massimo Ferretti for the honor of leading this iconic House. I would also like to thank all my fans around the world who celebrated me, my collections and my vision, for without you, none of this would be possible.”
Before adding in a separate post on Instagram: “AFTER 10 YEARS I AM ANNOUNCING TODAY THAT I WILL BE LEAVING MOSCHINO. IVE HAD A BLAST CREATING DESIGNS THAT WILL LIVE ON FOREVER.
