Smruti Sriram is the CEO of Supreme Creations / Bags of Ethics – an ethical manufacturer of reusable packaging and eco-friendly giveaways for some of the best brands in the world including London Fashion Week, Topshop, Tesco, and Nike.
All products are custom-made in their own award-winning factory in Pondicherry, South India in which 9 out of 10 employees are women, many of whom the main breadwinners in the family. Smruti also helps run the Wings of Hope Children’s Charity – a charity focused on the educations and skills training of young people around the world.
Smruti grew up and lives in London and is a graduate of Philosophy, Politics and Economics from Oxford University, and a scholar from London Business School. Her life motto is “Don’t Be Boring”. We caught up with Smruti for the latest in our ‘My London’ interview series.

Holland Park.
Favourite place for brunch:
Portobello Pizzeria – if you are going to eat a pizza eat the best pizza you can, otherwise it’s not worth the calories!
Best coffee in London:
Don’t drink coffee (or tea) but we love our client The Gentlemen Baristas.
Favourite gallery or museum:
The V&A – perfect marriage of contemporary and old masterpieces.
Favourite place to shop:
London Fashion Week Festival – emerging designers in a lovely showcase and setting.
Favourite place to find inspiration:
Dulwich College Main Hall – it’s where we hosted our first Wings of Hope Back to School Day.
Best London destination for a date:
A long walk along the Thames at dusk
Favourite park:
Primrose Hill – spectacular views of our beautiful city
Favourite food market:
I like supporting international produce shops like Indian ones on Ealing Road or Middle Eastern ones near Maida Vale.
Your sanctuary in the city:
The Library at London Business School on the Marylebone Road – amazing domed roof and a great place to think.
What inspires you?
Working with young people – full of energy, and much smarter than any of us. Supporting young people across the world with Wings of Hope gives me a huge amount of inspiration.
