Alexa Chung teams up with Madewell on a second collection

Alexa Chung has teamed up with American brand Madewell for a second time, creating a collection inspired by “girls in bands who live their looks”. The campaign which features Alexa’s latest looks was shot in Austin, Texas, reflecting the road-trip vibe of the collaboration.

Alexa’s second collection is a dressed down version of her signature style, pairing denim shorts with lace tops and jersey skirts with relaxed shirts and jumpers – a world away from her last collection of tea dresses and motif tops.

Kin Yung Lee, Madewell’s head of design, spoke of teaming up with Chung for a second time, saying: “We were all so in sync. Since it’s the second collection, it was like old friends getting together and creating something — and having a great time in the process!”

Madewell, which has a relaxed, low-maintenance feel, is run by American retail giant J. Crew, which is set to hit the UK this year. The Alexa Chung for Madwell collection will arrive in stores and online  at Madewell.com on 22nd September.
