Florence Welch covers Vogue Japan October 2011

Yes, it really is Florence Welch! She looks a million miles away from her usual hippy chic style of dress, changing things up for a more androgynous look for the cover of Vogue Japan’s October issue. Plus, she’s the first non-model to land the magazine cover in over five years and was shot by Karl Lagerfeld – what a way this fabulous Brit has come!

The 24-year-old singer’s statement look comes courtesy of Ralph Lauren, with an oriental tuxedo jacket, retro shirt with an art deco clip and trousers that mean business. Pair the look with a La Roux style red quiff and you’ve got the ultimate boy-meets-girl look that is ruling the fashion world this season.
