Casio has announced the latest additions to its G-SHOCK line of shock resistant watches, the MTG-B2000, which is part of the MT-G series made of metal and resin.
The new watches enhance the Metal Core Guard Structure with a carbon fiber-reinforced resin case with a dual structure that integrates the case and back. The new structure results in a watch design with more visible metal and the same mid-size case and weight as the popular MTG-B1000 release in 2018. The watches also feature Triple G Resist to resist dropping shocks, centrifugal gravity, and vibration.
The MTG-B2000BD and MTG-B2000D come with a layered-composite band made of resin and metal and are about 15% lighter than the previous model. The MTG-B2000B comes with a soft urethane band.
All three watches are the first in the MT-G series to be equipped with three dual coil motors for swift hand operation. The watches automatically adjust time when paired with a smartphone using a dedicated app. There’s also an automatic adjustment when crossing time zones.
The MTG-B2000 series watches will be available from 2020 from £899.
