American model, artist, and fashion designer Ella Emhoff stars in the winter 2021 Earth Explorer campaign, unveiling a new collection by Stella McCartney in collaboration with adidas, embodying “the campaign’s message of connecting with Mother Nature”.
Featuring a selection of multi-functional, sustainable pieces, including puffer jackets and winter boots, the adidas by Stella McCartney AW22 range combines innovative fashion with performance sportswear, made with the planet in mind – putting activism into activewear with every design.
In the beautifully shot, stripped back campaign, Emhoff is pictured on a dimly-lit beach, exploring her surroundings amongst trees and lurching over rocks wearing a number of striking items from the versatile collection, including a full length bright orange multi-purpose Sleeping Bag Puffer Jacket, with high-vis panels, a silver, zip front jumpsuit and new trainers made with PRIMEBLUE, which is part recycled Parley Ocean Plastic.
Commenting on her involvement in the new campaign, Ella Emhoff says in a press release: “I feel a very strong connection to the environment in the sense that to continue on as a world we need to protect it. It’s really important that coming out of this we as a society start to really hone in on sustainable practices that help protect the environment. This is an issue that is really easy to not confront and almost give up, but I truly think that that alone should be the reason we fight even harder.”
