Kate Middleton and Vivienne Westwood couldn’t be anymore dissimilar. One’s a pretty princess of the people, the other’s a anarchic flame haired climate change activist cum fashion designer, and it’ll come as no surprise that they just don’t get on. Speaking recently to the Sunday Times Magazine, 70-year-old Vivienne slammed Kate’s signature lined eye look, saying: “I think she’s got a problem with eye make-up. The sharp line around her eyes make her look hard. Either she should be smudgy or wear none.”
Ouch. But Vivienne continued to speak her mind, saying: “It seems to me, that her image is ‘ordinary woman’. Therefore, High Street shopper. And I just think she should be an extraordinary woman, wherever she gets her clothes from.” Maybe she could borrow some from you Viv?
But she’s not the only fashion name who’s not a Kate fan. Last month in an interview with Grazia, Dutch fashion duo Viktor & Rolf also agreed that they’d like to see her with “different make-up and hair – less eyeliner, less hair. It would bring out her natural beauty.”
