Anna Bey is originally from Sweden, but now resides in London. Since 2012 running an online finishing school called School of Affluence. It’s a sister company to her growing “JetsetBabe” community which first started off as a blog in 2012, when Anna had just moved to London. Today JetsetBabe unites classy women across the world, who wish to live their best lives.
We caught up with Anna for the latest in our ‘My London’ interview series.
Favourite neighbourhood:
Knightsbridge and Belgravia where I live! Mayfair does also belong on the list, but I go there only to frequent the bars and restaurants. Knightsbridge and Belgravia feels more like home to me.
Favourite place for brunch:
The Ivy in Chelsea Garden. The only minus with the Ivy is that it’s so incredibly noisy. But at least it’s lively and great for people watching – perfect on a weekend when you want some ambiance!
Best coffee in London:
I don’t drink coffee. But if I did, I would grab it at Ralph Lauren’s café as it’s so incredibly stylish there.
Favourite gallery or museum:
I’m neighbour with the Victoria & Albert Museum. I always step inside on my way home after a long walk in the park to get a dose of history and culture. It always brings some inspiration to my work and sometimes I also enjoy going to their beautiful courtyard to soak up some sun if it’s a beautiful day.
Tell us a secret:
I love going to 5-star hotels in London and use their lobby or bar as my office. The laptop lifestyle has got its perks! But it helps me with content creation and soaking up the energy of the lifestyle that I teach women.
Favourite place to shop:
I live next door to Harrods, so I’m not going to lie, that is where I do most of my shopping for convenience. But I do enjoy stepping into the Roland Mouret boutique in Mayfair when I want to dress to impress.
Favourite place to find inspiration:
When I sit with a glass of burgundy wine by the window at the Coburg bar in the Connaught hotel, I look outside and just rest in my thoughts. Inspiration always strikes me in that very moment!
Best London destination for a date:
Any high-end restaurant with tables where you can sit next to each other! It’s truly my favourite. So far restaurants like Bleeding Heart, Park Chinois, C London and Jean-Georges at the Connaught have been very accommodating to this request.
Favourite park:
Hyde Park. It’s my sanctuary where I go and release any tension or negative energy. It’s also a place where I can find my zen and meditate. Favourite time is early mornings when all the owners are walking their dogs. I just enjoy watching these cute pooches run around and play, it always puts a smile on my face.
Favourite food market:
Whole Foods in High street Kensington. I can literally walk around in there for hours! It’s so therapeutical and you can find loads of interesting things to purchase!
Your sanctuary in the city:
I love St Philips oratory church in Knightsbridge. It’s a breathtaking church and I go there regularly to do my prayers. They have a lovely mass on the weekends with a choir and organ music. Goosebumps guaranteed and best of all, it’s free!
